Here we go again.
It’s time for state lawmakers to receive their “automatic” pay raise of 2.2 percent. I like their excuse: It’s “automatic” because it was passed into law several years ago.
Why don’t they rescind the law? It’s not that hard. The fat cats just keep taking while the retirees in Pennsylvania haven’t had a cost-of-living adjustment in about 15 years.
How’s this? Legislators should give their raises to the retirees. Wouldn’t that be nice for once? Do something for people who worked and deserved a pension. Oh, wait, Gov. Tom Corbett wants to take pensions.
