The GOP is freaking out over Bob Costas’ “lecture” on gun control on NBC-TV’s “Sunday Night Football.” Yes, most gun owners are responsible. The GOP would argue that you should not punish all gun owners, because of a few bad seeds.

However, when it comes to programs like welfare, food stamps and WIC, Republicans take the other side of this argument. It has been proven that a majority of people on public assistance are using those services legally and responsibly. However, the GOP would prefer to see everyone deprived of these services, citing the irresponsibility of a small percentage of the recipients as justification.

Certainly, others can also see this blatant hypocrisy.
