Every registered voter has the right to vote for the candidate of their choice, but this was not the case in the 3rd precinct in Donegal Township on Election Day.

The wrong candidate appeared on the voting machine and also on the specimen ballot passed out at the polls.

In trying to correct this, typical government responses occurred. The Washington County elections department is pointing a finger toward the voting machine supplier. The response by the politicians in the Observer-Reporter made it appear they were incapable of handling a situation presented by constituents in a mature and professional manner.

Constitutional rights are not a joke and should not be subject to ridicule, apathy and indifference.
