I remember growing up in a neighborhood where everyone watched out for each other.

If something was wrong, parents talked to parents. If there was bullying, it was stopped. I remember times when I got home from playing and my parents knew what I did the entire time I was away. I remember a time when front doors did not have to be locked because neighbors watched out for other. I remember when you did something right, you got praise. I remember when families were there for families.

What has happened? Where are the neighbors being there for the elderly, cutting their grass or clearing the snow? Where are the neighbors being there to make sure their neighbors’ kids got home from school OK? But a more important question is where are your parents, your siblings and your blood relatives?

Not that long ago, there was that communication. It is time for everyone around America to bring back family values. To bring back the core of America – the family.
