I’d like to quote philanthropist Pierre Claeyssens: “To be killed in war is not the worst that can happen. To be lost is not the worst that can happen. To be forgotten is the worst.”

On Saturday, we honored those who died Dec. 7,1941 at Pearl Harbor. It’s sad that it seems like most Americans have forgotten what may be the greatest generation ever. It’s a shame that there was nothing mentioned in your newspaper or elsewhere. We are doing our country and all of our veterans a grave injustice.
