Greene County is very fortunate to have a facility like the Historical Society Museum on Rolling Meadows Road.

But it was disheartening to read last week that, as the museum continues to expand its collections and the responsibilities of its administrator increase, the number of volunteers is dropping or, at the very best, has remained stagnant.

Greene County is often defined by its willingness to help others. So now it’s time for high school students with some time on their hands, able retirees or anyone else who has a hunger for history to step forward and give a few hours help out the museum.

Just giving a little will mean so much.
