I was so disheartened to learn Tuesday that I was only the 118th person to vote in Richhill Township. Shame on everyone who didn’t bother.

Yes, there were important races on the ballot.

I voted for the person whom I felt was best qualified to be our next sheriff. That’s important to me.

I voted for the person whom I felt should be a decision-maker for our township. That’s important to me.

I voted for the person whom I trust with my tax dollars. That’s important to me.

I voted for the person whom I trust to audit the finances of my township. That’s important to me.

I voted for the person whom I feel is capable of making education-related decisions for our school district. That’s important to me, and my grandchildren, and to my fellow taxpayers.

If you voted, good for you.

If you didn’t vote, keep your mouth shut!
