Mr. DeAngelis’ letter about Fox News and conservative talk radio being dangerous proves how dangerous uniformed citizens are. The letter lists many current issues facing citizens of the United States and takes the point of view that everything on these media sources is wrong. That would make everything heard on MSNBC the truth. Unlikely! One must listen to and read a large variety of sources to determine the truth. It appears Mr. DeAngelis is an avid MSNBC viewer and believes everything this administration says. Smart consumers of news know you can believe little that is said in Washington, D.C., let alone taking it as the gospel. Here are some facts, pesky things ignored by Mr. DeAngelis.

As reported by the U.N., the Earth has not warmed in the last 15 years. The temperatures have remained static despite a rise in greenhouse gasses. The Earth is 5 billion years old and we have been recording temperatures for the last 100 years. This minute sample is hardly the basis for changing the entire world economy.

Fox has never stated or even hinted the president was born in Kenya.

Healthy food and exercise are good for people, but kids hate the food standards that Michele Obama has forced on schools. Many of them leave lunch, hungry.

Welfare, disability and food stamp fraud are epidemic, so there are many “lazy” people taking our money instead of working. That is just a fact. Of course, not all recipients are lazy, but many who do not deserve our tax dollars are receiving them, also a fact.

The truth is we were lied to about Benghazi from the beginning, and the administration knew the truth from the beginning of the attack. Why did they lie to us? Many are still working on the answer to this question.

The IRS admitted they targeted tea party groups, so that is also a fact.

Ninety-nine percent of all terrorist attacks are being carried out by Muslim extremists. That, too, is a fact. No one has ever stated all Muslims are terrorists, but almost all present day terrorists have been Muslims.

Obamacare IPAB will make life and death decisions about coverage by insurance just like similar boards do in other countries. The rollout of Obamacare so far has been a disaster. The government website continues to be nearly unusable, and those that get in are having sticker shock.

No one is against helping people who don’t have health insurance get it. ACA is forcing many who had insurance off their plans and forcing them to spend way more for coverage. That is the thing many object to. We could have fixed the uninsured problem without changing the insurance for everyone.

The majority of the power plants in the country run on coal, and they have made great strides in finding ways to make burning coal cleaner. If you doubt that, just look at the air in China. They do not use clean-coal technologies, and air quality is close to toxic.

The Keystone Pipeline would not only bring in more oil to refineries, something that is proven to lower prices but provides many direct and indirect jobs in the process. Something we sorely need right now.
