Seems like everybody in the “United States of the Offended” is up in arms to get Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder to change the team’s name. Commissioner Roger Goddell stated that if one person is offended by it then it should be changed.

The troubling thing about this whole ordeal is that I haven’t seen one person of Native American descent voicing any opinion at all.

I admire Daniel Snyder for standing his ground because this ridiculousness that is consuming our country has to stop and we need to start focusing on the nation’s true problems. If Snyder caves on this issue, next up will be the Cleveland Indians. Out of political correctness, will they be forced to become the Cleveland Native Americans?

President Obama even decided to chime in on this issue. With all the turmoil the country is in, I wonder if he even realizes that unemployment, homelessness and alcoholism in Native American communities is at epidemic levels.

I wish all these people would just do the jobs they were hired to do. Obama should keep his mind on straightening out the country or maybe getting more involved in helping our Native American communities with housing, job training and educational programs. Goddell should keep his focusing on cleaning up the NFL.
