We’re in an Ice Age

I have heard and read about global warming and the horrible storms and coastal erosion that will flood most of Florida, half of New York City not to mention the Eastern seaboard.
However, as recently as 1974, researchers were warning us another Ice Age was possible. I did some research and was shocked to read that we are in an Ice Age now. What I read is an Ice Age lasts thousands of years and during that period global temperature will fluctuate up and down.
My question is that we have had two to 10 Ice Ages. The last one was called the little Ice Age and happened maybe 10,000 to 40,000 years ago and it was cold enough to send an ice flow a mile thick across Canada and the Northeastern United States, including this area.
I have questions galore for former Vice President Al Gore and others blaming fossil fuels for climate change, since we had huge warm-ups over many millions of years before man was here to invent fire.
