Thank you for the ad in the newspaper suggesting that people giving away free pets ask for a donation to help stop abusers. I hope it helps.

We recently adopted a kitten we named Harley. Watching him play or listening to him purr, it’s hard to imagine how anyone could harm such an adorable animal. But it happens. There is one sure way to stop people who would do this – have your pet spayed or neutered.

Pets are loving and trusting and do not deserve to be abused or treated like lab rats.
