Santa Claus is coming to town, and all children naughty and nice will have a chance to see him tonight at 7 p.m. in Washington’s annual Christmas parade. Motorists are cautioned that Chestnut, Franklin and Walnut streets will close to traffic at 5:30 p.m.

The jolly old elf will move on to Waynesburg for its parade Saturday at 2 p.m.

The weather forecast is for seasonable temperatures in the 40s – just cold enough to create rosy cheeks and an appetite for hot chocolate, and too warm for frostbite. The parades are an opportunity to celebrate community. Join the fun.
