This is my first letter to the newspaper, but I felt compelled to write after reading the letter from Frank Egizio that appeared in the Feb. 5 edition of the Observer-Reporter.

I know nothing of the condition of the trucks Cecil Township owns and operates. I do know that the road crew has done an outstanding job of keeping the township roads drivable. Once the snow and ice starts coming down, I don’t have to wait long before I hear the sound of the township truck clearing the road.

We only have one way in and one way out on our street, and the hill we must go on has been clean and passable both this winter and last winter. I am most appreciative of the efforts made by the Cecil Township road crew.
