Ask anyone what they value most in their life, and if you get them to their core, the first thing is being alive and the second is their “quality of life.” No one will say auto insurance or a big house. While capitalism can work in homeowners insurance and a house can be replaced, it’s not the same with health care. This is evident in every Western society but here.

The residents of other Western nations avoid many life-threatening illnesses because they are treated before they reach critical status.

One could argue the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness includes health care. So the next time Rick Santorum compares auto insurance to health care, would someone stop his insanity?
