Two crimes were committed in Peters Township last Tuesday night. One was theft, and the other was a violation of the First Amendment.

The Republican Party of Peters Township recently developed a unique set of campaign signs that were placed along Route 19 to counter the misleading information being perpetrated by the Tom Wolf campaign. These signs actually spoke the truth about Gov. Tom Corbett’s record and Wolf’s plans. The signs cost over $400 to produce, and they were stolen.

This is another classic example of radical liberals trying to silence any views but their own by any means necessary. The signs spoke truth that the left could not counter in any way other than stealing them. Their dishonesty and desperation leaves them unable to win in the arena of ideas, and willing to actually commit larceny to silence their opposition. Many of the Corbett signs in Washington County have been stolen as well.

Whether you agree with the messaging or not, decent people of either party should certainly agree that committing the crime of larceny is wrong and should not be tolerated.
