Yes, we do need a change of direction.

My wife and I were raised in Washington County, as were our three children. We have tried to vote in every election, have paid our taxes and owned two businesses here.

That said, after reading Sunday’s endorsement of Tom Wolf for governor, I agree that Gov. Tom Corbett let us down in several areas. But a couple of items in your editorial were not addressed thoroughly enough.

Our state politicians are compensated quite well compared to the average working voter. Why should their pensions be so much better than the folks they represent? I also feel term limits should be instituted. These should not be lifetime positions. Also, what the heck is wrong with voter ID laws? I would feel better knowing the person voting beside me is a taxpaying citizen of Pennsylvania and the United States.
