What’s going on at the Washington County Courthouse? Why was an administrative judge brought in from another county to oversee Washington County’s judges?

There are apparently many problems that President Judge Debbie O’Dell Seneca either caused or failed to handle in a professional and ethical manner. So why does she still have the title of president judge? And is she getting any additional salary for this illustrious title? The administrative judge brought in from Allegheny County, Joseph M. James, is being paid $536 per day for his services. This is taxpayer money. Is this necessary?

Why wasn’t Judge Katherine Emery, the next most-senior judge, made the president judge? She is fair-minded and honest and does not have delusions of grandeur. She and the other judges have the collegiality needed to handle the caseload and bring a spirit of harmony to the courthouse.

If you have a tumor in your body, you may get a lot of different opinions on how to take care of it. But, in the end, you just have to have it removed in order to move forward and prevent it from spreading. Let’s hope the state removes the “tumor” and makes Emery president judge.
