Say no to nondiscrimination bills

In response to the Nov. 2 letter by Kathy Cameron in support of bills before the Pennsylvania House and Senate that would outlaw discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, I would like to point out that before anyone supports these bills, they need to do their research.
Please look to see what a similar law in Colorado has done to business owners as well as the confusion it has caused where public accommodations are concerned. The local government has taken the authority in Houston, Texas to subpoena sermons from churches on this issue.
Restroom privacy is infringed upon by this bill. I don’t know about you, but I surely do not want me and my young daughter or son to be exposed to what this proposed law would allow to happen in public restrooms everywhere.
If you value your rights and you are a business owner, a school superintendent, a Christian school principal, pastor, or an owner of any business that provides public accommodation, you should not support these bills. There is so much more at stake than making sure that the gay community is protected, which they already are by living in this country.
As Americans, we all have rights. No one should be discriminated against. However, we also have free enterprise in this country and bills like these are slowly eroding it.
If this person mentioned in Cameron’s letter is a real person, maybe she’s blaming discrimination for her problems are work, but it could be that she is not doing her work properly. Integrity, character, good morals and being a team player go a long way, and it is very hard to find employees like this anymore.
