I can’t believe the Observer-Reporter devoted two-thirds of a page Tuesday to the story about “cooking with cannabis.” Are you serious?

Why would you glorify something that is still illegal in most states and, more importantly, dangerous? Does anyone agree with me that pot is highly addictive to many people? Those people are mostly uneducated, overweight, have no ambition and low (or no) self-esteem. It robs them of pursuing any positive goals they may have when they concentrate only on their next escape from reality.

And what about the people who support their habit by selling to anyone who will buy? They may be homeless, but with thousands of dollars in their pockets. And let’s not forget about their “good buddies” who not only steal from them but also carry guns and are not afraid to use them.

Pot is a stepping stone to bigger and better things, drugs-wise. Do you really want our future leaders high on legal drugs?
