I was reading with interest everything in a recent Observer-Reporter article, “Tyler Technologies finishes phase of county reassessment” all the way through to the very last paragraph that stated as follows: “The Washington and McGuffey school districts went to court in 2008 to seek a reassessment. The commissioners filed several appeals but ran out of legal options five years later.”

Filed in the Court of Common Pleas of Washington County, under the full docket print-out involving the reassessment, Case No. C-63-CV-200800607, one can find an “Affidavit of the Board of Commissioners of Washington County” showing where commissioners Diana Irey Vaughan, Larry Maggi and Bracken Burns, on Dec. 16, 2008, legally agreed to do a countywide reassessment. The public has the right to view this case file to read the true facts for themselves.
