My love has increased for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Linebacker James Harrison didn’t want his sons receiving trophies for participating in a sports program operated by former Steeler Charlie Batch. Batch is doing a great job mentoring young children, and many of these children don’t have great role models and interested parents like Harrison. Harrison is correct in raising his children to not expect trophies for anything less than their best efforts.

As others tried to blow the disagreement out of proportion, these two great men showed how to stay true to their beliefs and remain great friends. That is why I love my Steelers. It shows that great people can have different opinions, love each other and still remain friends. Everyone could and should learn from this situation.
