Some changes not for the best

Many changes that affect the way we live, talk, eat and worship were meant to make our lives different from our ancestors’ lives.

As life started to change around the early 1950s, something more powerful also changed. That may be one of the reasons “Christmas” and “Christ” are like bad words today. Someone had to cause the Catholic faith to make a change that proves nothing is cast in stone. When it was announced we would be able to eat meat on Fridays, it weakened the respect some had for the values of Catholicism.

Added to this, people started writing “Xmas” instead of “Christmas” to deliver season’s greetings.

Some changes should never happen if they weaken the thread that holds us together.
