I am sure your heart was in the right place when you wrote the “Vaccinations for Everyone” editorial, which appeared Feb. 3. However, I feel that you, like doctors I have talked to, are simply spouting the standard line about vaccines without doing the research to back up your advice.

Today’s vaccines and the recommended vaccination schedules are markedly different from those given to the children of the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s. Opinions based upon the results from those days are no longer valid. Over 100 vaccinations are now recommended, multiple vaccines are now combined into one shot and mercury is still used – mercury that builds in your body with each additional shot.

There is much more to the story than just parents wanting to protect their children from the damaging side of vaccinations. I had measles as a kid and I would endure another bout with measles before I would introduce the viruses and foreign matter that vaccinations bring into the body.

Remember the Hippocratic oath: “First, do no harm.” Your one-sided advice may potentially cause great harm to those influenced by it.
