Roads are out of control

Well, winter has arrived, so the orange signs warning against aggressive driving are gone from Peters and North Strabane townships. I don’t see the reason to ever install them.

Does it really help? When you drive from Peters through North Strabane into Washington, you would not think so judging by the speeding and lane-changing that goes on. When driving home from Washington, high speeds were often recorded in the radar speed signs alongside Route 19.

Driving on the interstates is dangerous, and the police presence is nil until they are needed, and then it can take a while. We certainly have lost control of our roads.

Come spring, the orange signs will be back, and traffic laws will go unenforced.
