I read that Tom Wolf has appointed former state Sen. Tim Solobay to the state fire commissioner’s job, which has a very sizeable salary.

I wonder if any recent governor has considered giving this job to a veteran who specialized in firefighting in Iraq or Afghanistan, or a firefighter injured in the line of duty? A job like this could be life-changing for the right person.
