Burns was incoherent

I think Bracken Burns is spending way too much time on Facebook these days. I felt his Monday letter to the editor was incoherent.
When I say, “I want my country back,” I mean I want to return to adults running the White House, and not promoting this liberal agenda in both social and fiscal policies. Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama are not my cup of tea. I don’t care what color the guy or gal is in the Oval Office, I just want someone with some sanity and common sense. I want an America that is strong, just and fair to all. I want an energy policy that saves coal but promotes natural gas and makes us energy independent. I want to stop the illegal entry of immigrants and ask them to enter in an orderly fashion. I want health care to remain out of the government’s hands and for it to be returned to the free market. It’s OK to offer a safety net to those who can’t afford care, but make it their choice, not a threat to all.
Every society has people filled with hate and they will attack innocents, but it is the exception, not the norm. Remarkable human compassion and a spirit of love has come out of the tragedy in Charleston, S.C. Did you hear what some family members said about the accused killer? They forgave him. Could you do that at this time of grief?
A young, college-age son of one of the victims spoke so eloquently and with such heartfelt joy. I want a son like that. I want to be able to have the courage and spirit that young man has. His mother raised him right. I would vote for him for president.
