A stink at the courthouse

There is a huge stink in downtown Washington these days, and it’s coming from the Washington County Courthouse.
The plea deal worked out for former Washington County Judge Paul Pozonsky reeks of favoritism. He pled guilty only to misdemeanor charges, and, on top of that, we continue to pay him a $8,000 monthly pension. He will probably only be sentenced to probation. How’s that for justice?
“This is a great fall,” according to Pozonsky’s attorney, Robert Del Greco. Oh, how Pozonsky is suffering.
And we wonder why people have a mistrust of elected officials.
