The amount of press being given to the small part of Melania Trump’s Republican convention speech that perhaps too closely paralleled Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic convention speech is childish.

What Trump said in that small part of her speech has been told to millions of kids around the world for ages. Great orators use short quotes from famous people and the speaker recognizes the originator. That’s all that is necessary to avoid any suggestion of plagiarism. However, in this case, liberals have vetted Trump 10 times harder than they ever did Obama.

As a backer of Donald Trump, I see his faults, but he’s where he is because he had the guts to get to the core of national needs without the guise of political correctness. He is 10 times more qualified than Barack Obama, George W. Bush or Bill Clinton.
