Some things make no sense

Recent stories about two different drugs got my attention.

People who suffer from anaphylaxis, a serious allergic reaction that can cause death, can use an EpiPen to self inject epinephrine, or adrenaline, to save their lives. This injector is made by the Mylan pharmaceutical company which has raised the price six times since 2009, most recently from $60 to $300. This is a serious pre-insurance and out-of-pocket financial burden, particularly for families with children who must use the injector frequently.

On the other hand, people who overdose on heroin and other opioids can get injected for free with lifesaving Narcan mostly paid for by taxpayers.

Some things just don’t make sense.
