Blacks should vote for Republicans

The black community should return to the party started to liberate and elevate them.

The first Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, ended slavery. Confederate Democrats gave their lives to expand slavery, and Union Republicans gave their lives to end slavery. The 13th Amendment abolished slavery, supported by 100 percent of Republicans and 26 percent of Democrats. The 14th Amendment gave citizenship to freed slaves, and it was supported by 95 percent of Republicans and no Democrats. The 15th Amendment gave freed slaves the right to vote, and it was supported by 100 percent of Republicans and no Democrats.

Democrats are the party of George Wallace, Bull Connor, Black Codes and Jim Crow laws, while Republicans championed civil rights laws from the 1860s to 1960s.

Has Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society entitlement state helped or harmed the black community? Cities like Milwaukee, Chicago, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., have the highest black unemployment and murder rates, and have been run exclusively by Democrats for over 50 years.

Democrats shamelessly exploit minorities for votes, assigning victimhood and hopeless dependency. Republicans believe in the unlimited potential of every individual.
