Send them to Mars
In the Oct. 18 edition, I gave my opinion about the 18 percent of Observer-Reporter readers who said in an online poll that we should go to Mars. I rejected the idea because our country has an unbelievable debt and also shouldn’t screw up another planet to boot.
Since then, I’ve changed my opinion. It’s a great idea that we get to Mars ASAP. The people who would make perfect inhabitants are the unhappy individuals from states like Oregon, Washington and California – especially the crowd in Hollywood. I’m sure everyone would be happier.
By the way, there would also be room for columnist Paul Krugman.
