Medicare has helped me
As a person with disabilities, it is diffucult to function every day, especially when you have a developmental disability along with a chronic illness.
Fortunately, there was help for me.
I was allowed to go on Medicare. Certain people younger than age 65, including those with disabilities, can qualify for Medicare.
In January, Donald Trump will become president. There has been talk of repealing Obamacare and making cuts to Medicare, Social Security and other programs. Without these programs, many people will not be able to afford medicines, treatments and surgeries. And, without Medicare, there is a great possibility and risk that I could die, along with many others.
I do not want Trump to take charge of my life or anyone else’s. I know what I need in order to stay alive as long as I can.
