Let Obama make a nomination

How can our elected officials claim that the citizens should have the right to elect or appoint a justice to fill the vacant seat on the Supreme Court? Unless we have an election, there is no way we as individuals can select a replacement.

The Senate confirms judicial appointments. We as individuals cannot truly express who we want. We are dependent on our elected officials to do so. President Obama should be the one to make an appointment. Our spoiled elected officials confirm the president’s selection if the nominee has the qualifications.

I have no faith or interest in waiting until the next election.
