Amazed by poll results
I just found the results amazing from a recent poll question on the Observer-Reporter website on Pennsylvania’s Act 13, and how local impact fee money is being spent. Of those responding, 17 percent said there should not be more transparency.
Really? Do you like it when you give $25 to a charity and then find that less than $1 goes to help people? Do you like not knowing who the true slumlords are because they hide behind two or three unrelated fictitious names? Do you like not knowing exactly where your taxes go?
As for the 18 percent who were not sure, why should they have even participated in the poll? Obviously, they don’t know or care about many other important events going on. Anyone who voted no should write to the Observer-Reporter and say why they voted no, and why we should be in the dark about this.
