Pleased with recycling program
On Tuesday, I took a television to the Washington County Fairgrounds so that it could be recycled. The experience was great, and I commend Washington County for having this electronic recycling program and its stewardship of our environment by helping to keep these toxins out of landfills and, consequently, out of our food sources and water.
I especially wanted to applaud the county staff for their demeanor, which was helpful and professional. Too often, we complain about government while failing to recognize important, innovative government programs and the employees who carry them out and cause them to succeed.
