In response to Walter Seal’s June 10 letter to the editor, he seems to insinuate that Abraham Lincoln was responsible for the Civil War, thus denigrating one of our greatest presidents. It was Lincoln’s compassionate freeing of the slaves that caused the Southern states to secede from the union and start the war.

Seal then basically states that illegal immigration is today’s slavery. The only connection I can see between illegal immigration and slavery is the fact that the slave owners wanted people to work for them for nothing, and some of the people who approve of illegal immigration are employers who want someone to work for them for almost nothing.

Illegal immigration is a serious problem. Just ask some poor person whose Social Security number has been stolen by an illegal immigrant.

Seal states that he is not advocating people to vote for Hillary Clinton. Really? That sounds like what he is doing since she is the only other major-party candidate in the race.
