Why should Trump compromise?
Your editorial on Nov. 14 stated that Donald Trump should seek the center in order to heal a divided country.
He wasn’t elected to move to the center. If he does, he won’t be fulfilling his campaign promises. Why is it that the Republicans are always the ones expected to be bipartisan and reach across the aisle when Democrats never are? The last thing I want is for him to compromise on the things that he promised to accomplish as president.
Conservatives have had to put up with eight years of President Obama’s leftist agenda and ruling like a dictator with his executive orders. We now have the opportunity to actually have the country run as it was stipulated in the Constitution and get it back on track, and I hope that President-elect Trump will get all of the things he wants done.
