Thanks for addition of Krauthammer
I was glad to see Charles Krauthammer’s column on your editorial page.
Certainly one of the greatest intellects of our time, he continuously gives us intelligent observations regarding the most pressing issues of our day. Most certainly conservative, he still never glosses over the foibles of a Donald Trump simply in the interests of conservatism.
It’s just too bad that the ponderings of this brilliant man had to share the same page on March 26 with writers who would attack Tom Flickinger for his very well written, poignant, factual letter to the president, which appeared on the March 12 commentary page, while putting dizzying spins on what Flickinger had to contribute, and adding no real substance to the dialogue.
In a very well written letter, Dorothy Acciai claims that Flickinger is wrong about the media being overwhelmingly liberal. She correctly states that the media’s mission is to convey correct information. Certainly! Absolutely! But can you, in all seriousness, listen to Chris Matthews on MSNBC or Wolf Blitzer on CNN and declare that they are simply passing along “correct information?” Please!
LeRoy Bloom, another letter writer, pointed to some obscure business deals with a foreign country as evidence of a lack of character on the part of President Trump. Well, maybe, I don’t know. But it was business. Might I assume he completely missed the issues regarding the Clinton Foundation contributions by people with questionable agendas. This gets completely ignored by the media.
Three letters appeared that day with more misinformation than can possibly be addressed in this one response. But thank you, nonetheless, for printing Charles Krauthammer.
