Withhold funding for sanctuary cities, states

California has just passed a law that makes it a “sanctuary state” for illegal immigrants. The law states that local police are not required to turn over illegal immigrants to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement unless they have a warrant from a judge stating that they have committed a crime.

The problem with this is that anyone who is in the country illegally and is working has committed a crime.

Illegals cannot get a Social Security card, so in order to work they steal the Social Security number of a either a citizen or a legal alien. They earn wages on that number and, in the majority of the cases, they don’t pay income taxes, so the actual owner of the number is responsible for paying them. It is then that person’s responsibility to prove to the IRS and the Social Security Administration that they did not earn the income.

In California, identify theft is a crime. How can the state authorize their police to break their own law? The only way to stop these sanctuary states and cities is to withhold all federal funding for them.
