Program was enlightening, humorous
The Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation had a program this past Wednesday at Cross Creek County Park “Jeepers Peepers,” and was presented by Jeff Donahue, the superintendent of the department.
Donahue presented a great program about identifying, catching and releasing “peepers,” a very small tree frog that you hear on many evenings. His presentation was very worthwhile, enlightening and humorous.
I had the opportunity to take one of my granddaughters and she had a blast catching, identifying, holding and then releasing the frogs back into their environment.
We hope the county parks and recreation department presents more programs like it.
