Donegal needs a zoning ordinance
In this day and age, it is hard to believe Donegal Township in Washington County operates without a zoning ordinance. It is harder to believe that residents are arguing against setting one up for their benefit.
Zoning and planning ordinances have been enacted since the 1960s and 1970s. Without a good planning ordinance, a community could be overwhelmed with unsightly, unwanted and unbearable businesses and home projects. Living in a community without zoning and planning regulations is very risky. Instead of fighting the proposed zoning ordinance, township board candidates should be found who believe there is a future for Donegal Township.
