Love will conquer all
It is quite saddening to witness the direction our country is going.
Other than opening the Seven Seals of Doom, we are all left to wonder what is to come. And hopefully not too soon. I am not a scholar, but I do know this – if we don’t come together as one, we are destined to repeat mistakes. And that is simply what our world cannot afford.
This is my response to a friend who has different political views than mine: “I still like you and will pray for you. The difference for us is oppression, and the many forms that it takes. Hating by itself is not cool, and does not generate anything else but more of the same. You are not born any better than me. We still breathe the same air and will return to the ground whence we came.
“However, like crabs in a basket, we are always trying to get on top at the expense of others. I have been black for a long time, and have experienced much in my travels. But what I have learned is this – love will conquer all, and that is one commandment we should all live by.”
