Library decision was a travesty
In 1870, Dr. Francis LeMoyne set aside a rather large sum of money to get Citizens Library going. In the years since, it has developed deep and wonderful roots in our community.
The East Washington Borough Council voted on Feb. 6 to discontinue funding our public library. Our borough, thus, lost representation on the library board of directors. It is a travesty that this decision was made.
Voters in East Washington, remember these names: Jared Cypher, Chris Mascara, Chuck McHugh, and Mary Taufer. If or when they run for re-election, strongly consider voting for their opponents.
