Repeating history
The idea that those who forget history are condemned to repeat it has been proven again in ugly scenes across America.
Japanese internment camps were instituted in World War II, and McCarthyism undermined this country’s values in the early days of the Cold War. These were misguided and hateful efforts that took advantage of real and greater threats to national security. Yet here we are, barring and detaining legal visitors and residents under the same pretense.
Yes, the executive order to ban people based upon nationality or faith is clearly unconstitutional. It was also proven wrong not so long ago.
