Blaming South Strabane supervisors unfair
This is in response to your June 29 editorial, “North Strabane cleans up after South Strabane mess.”
It is very unfair of you to blame the majority of the South Strabane Township Board of Supervisors when they actually upheld the wishes of the property owners of Strabane Manor who attended the March 14 board meeting.
In fact, the issue of the Chapman property and the proposed Ensinger Inc., plastic manufacturing facility being placed next to Tanger Outlets should have never been discussed again, since it was voted down on several occasions prior to this meeting.
Supervisors Thomas Moore, Robert Weber and Edward Mazur deserve thanks for, as your editorial stated, refusing to budge. They did not, as you stated, “truly (fail) the local citizens.” We need more politicians like them, who actually listen to the feelings and opinions of their constituents and respond to them.
