Speed bumps are needed
As a resident of East Washington, I applaud the borough council for allowing the installation of speed bumps on streets within our community.
I reside on a through street in the borough, and I’m happy to see that drivers will be compelled to slow down. With children, pets, and others living on our thoroughfare, speeders and those who run stop signs have long caused me worry.
Though these bumps are rather harsh and unyielding, residents and drivers passing through will be obliged to decelerate. We will be forced to adjust our driving habits due to these obstacles, and that will be good.
