LETTER Don’t spend tax money on drug addicts
In the July 20 edition of the Observer-Reporter, David Schriber commented negatively on drug addiction and the use of Narcan by first responders. I agree with his comments for various reasons.
If we are a nation of laws, and Congress has passed laws against drug use, why are we using Narcan to the extent that we do? Are we doing nothing more than enabling law-breakers? Aren’t we breaking our own drug laws?
Don’t spend my hard-earned tax money on drug addicts. Spend it on veterans and senior citizens.
