Consider adopting a pet

“Puppy,” the Bentleyville dog that was found in February with a rod in its head, has sadly shown us both how cruel and kind humans can be. The number of people wanting to adopt him is wonderful. However, there can only be one chosen. I hope that the ones who are not chosen will still consider adopting a pet from one of the many other rescue organizations in our area, such as Animal Friends, the Washington Area Humane Society, PetSearch and Catnip Acres, to name a few. A dog or cat from any of these facilities is already spayed and neutered, vaccinated and, often, microchipped.

Shelters are always filled to capacity. Please adopt, donate, volunteer. Above all, spay and neuter your pets to keep them safe, healthy and living a longer life.
