An unforgettable odor
I have to chuckle when I hear comments on transgender people and what restrooms they should use. I’m certain that every military veteran who served in Southeast Asia would also chuckle.
It was commonplace there to find only one latrine for use. The latrine consisted of a large room with two holes in the floor. Men and women did their thing together with absolutely no problems.
Interestingly, the two holes drained into ditches along the road called binjo ditches, which on hot summer nights emitted an odor that none of us who were there will ever forget.
