Free press essential for democracy
If not so disheartening, one might find some amusement with people from the tinfoil hat society taking the free press to task for publishing “fake” news that has been, in their words, “debunked.”
Credible and corroborated reporting backed by solid evidence is the duty of a free press and is a bedrock of democracy. The challenge is for Democrats and Republicans, and for all Americans, is to find that ground where we can together stand up for country over politics and money.
But how do you have a dialogue with those who insist that the world is flat? I wish I had an answer.
